The case of George Floyd was particularly sad and messed up. The man was killed for doing nothing, and killed in the most inhumane way.

Floyd was 46 years old, father of two who worked as a security guard. He was described as the gentle giant, calm and huge.

He was killed on Monday night after a Minneapolis police officer pinned him by the neck with his knee for more than eight minutes. The white officer; Officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee to the neck of the black man despite George Floyd’s pleas for release as he was heard saying the words “I cannot breathe, my neck hurts, my stomach’s hurts, everything hurts,” none of the group of four police men responded humanely to his cries.

The president, Donald Trump has weighed in on the matter. While he was in Florida for the rescheduled launching of SpaceX spaceflight, he called the death of George Floyd “very sad and tragic” he has promised that “justice will be served” and that the FBI and a number of other investigative bodies are investigating the matter already.

He said:

“At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd,”

“I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement. My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!”

Black lives matter! Blacks are humans! Equality regardless of race is what the world needs to heal!
